Do you deliver?
We do not offer a delivery service at this time. Our model is that we have our own retail stores where we carry the full menu on hand in each store at all times, so you can simply pop in and get exactly what you need. If you would like to pre-order, our helpful staff will happily keep your meals aside for quick and easy pick-up. Please do email us on info@thecookhouse.co.za if you require any further info on this process.
Can I order online?
Currently, we are a retail store only. Visit us at one of our four conveniently located stores to pick up your favourite meals from The Cookhouse or email us for further information on info@thecookhouse.co.za.
Do I need to pre-order off your menu?
No. All our stores carry the full menu in all portion sizes at all times. If you would like to place a bulk order, please email us ahead of time to make arrangements – info@thecookhouse.co.za

We are situated in four convenient locations: Howick, Hilton, Athlone, and Gillitts. Please see our contact page for maps, addresses, and phone numbers.
Are all your meals oven and microwave friendly?
No, many of our meals you simply decant into a saucepan and heat on the stove top in a matter of minutes. Some of the meals are to be heated in the oven until crispy and delicious. With regards to microwaves, there are some meals that may be suitable but, because our food contains no stabilizers or artificial thickeners, microwaves can tend to split cream-based dishes and potentially toughen meat, etc. Therefore, we do not actually put any microwave instructions on our labels. Please feel free to email us on info@thecookhouse.co.za for further info on which meals can go into the microwave if needed. Please note, however, that the aluminium foil packaging does in fact work in the microwave as, nowadays, they are not made of tin.
Do you have diabetic options?
A fair amount of our options are low-carb and, therefore, are conducive to cutting the carbohydrates that turn to sugar in our bodies; hence we do have diabetic clientele who know what is suitable to their own diet on our menu. However, there are some dishes that contain sugar and it is best to know exactly what you can and can’t take, so please do email us for any information on sugar-based dishes – info@thecookhouse.co.za. Lastly, many of our Type 2 Diabetic clientele simply enjoy the fact that their meals are portioned out, which is a huge factor in regulating insulin levels.
